LANDesk Interchange 2014 Boot Camp for the LANDesk Management and Security Suite.

This year the LANDesk Interchange conference is being held at the Mandalay Bay Hotel. Previous years I have attended, the conference was held at the MGM Grand Hotel.

The number 1 item I noticed, is that the distance from the hotel elevators to the conference center is very short in comparison to the MGM. HUGE, not because I don’t like to walk, but the conference does start in the early AM, and at MGM I was always finding myself running back and forth, not just walking.

I’ve never been to the Mandalay Bay Hotel or any Las Vegas hotel other than MGM, this place is much nicer. Enough about the hotel and location.

This year there was such a large interest in the LDMS boot camps, LANDesk opened up a second session. Robert Woodruff and Keith Oliverson are both instructors and trainers at LANDesk leading the instructions here. A few of the TAMs are also in attendance to assist with instruction and keeping things going.

One of the big changes this year, was to compress 5 days of training and labs into a 3 day course.

Overall the conference and boot camp was great. The most complaints I heard seemed to be food poisoning of several people. Quality of the food was horrible and hopefully next year LANDesk will keep up on their food providers and demand all food be cooked well. I and others spent more on Pepto-Bismol than probably anything else.
